RC-PM01 Porometer — Product Description

The RC-PM01 Porometer is a scientific-grade open-circuit plant porometer designed to measure the influence of various environmental factors on stomatal behavior of leaves. It can easily, repeatedly, and accurately calculate stomatal resistance, stomatal conductance, and transpiration rate. It can also measure air temperature and humidity, leaf surface temperature, and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR).

The instrument is widely used in research on plant leaf water physiology, crop water use efficiency, water stress damage, and biochemical control and regulation effects.

Measurement Principle

Based on the principle of steady-state diffusion, the porometer measures and calculates parameters by detecting changes in humidity on the leaf surface within the leaf chamber.

Measurement Functions

Air temperature, air humidity, airflow rate, light intensity (PAR), leaf temperature, humidity curve, transpiration rate, stomatal conductance, stomatal resistance, and gas mass flow rate.

Transpiration Rate (Tr): mmol H₂O m⁻² s⁻¹

Stomatal Conductance (Gs): mol H₂O m⁻² s⁻¹

Accuracy: Transpiration rate 1–5%, Conductance 5–10%
